What Kind of Boat Will We Use?

Almanor Adventures provides just about everything you need for your next fishing trip.  Your fishing gear, including poles and tackle, will be on the boat for you.  However, you will need to have a current fishing license prior to beginning your day.  Almanor Adventures is not equipped to sell fishing licenses but there are several locations in the Almanor area to purchase one. 

You may want to bring along some snacks and a beverage for your day of fishing.  If you don't want to be bothered with bringing a lunch, let us know and we can make arrangements to have your lunch provided.

Don't forget the Sunscreen!  Hours on the lake can cause quite a burn if you are not prepared.  You will also want to dress in layers.  Almanor can start out the day in the 20's or 30's and by mid day be in the 80's.  A large hat should also be a "must" for protection against the sun.  Feel free to ask any additional questions on what you may need for your next trip.

Since Almanor Adventures fishes year round, weather permitting, you can experience all sorts of weather.  We will attempt to keep you informed on current weather conditions as your fishing trip gets closer.  We have also put a link on our Home page to local weather conditions.

Lake Almanor is a mountain lake with constantly changing weather.   On any given day you may encounter sun, rain, snow, or wind.  We are always concerned about safety and will not fish in conditions that we consider dangerous.  At any time that you, as the customer, wish to terminate your day of fishing, just let Cpt. Zach know and he will return to shore.  Any fishing trip that is terminated or cut short due to weather will be rescheduled for a full or partial day.  If a deposit has been paid, you may receive compensation, depending on the situation.
